Dr. Stephen Y Lai為美國德州大學安德森癌症中心頭頸外科部教授，放射腫瘤學科部與分子及細胞腫瘤學科部合聘教授，為具豐富臨床及研究經驗的美國頭頸癌專科醫師。中央研究院生醫轉譯研究中心特別邀請Dr. Lai於112年5月24日蒞臨國家生技研究園區進行學術交流及演講，分享他如何於MD Anderson Cancer Center建立並成功促進甲狀腺癌病患臨床醫療及照顧品質、存活期、及臨床試驗招募的FAST計畫(Facilitating Anaplastic Thyroid Cancer Specialized Treatment)，並同時進行疾病進程及新穎治療方法的研究計畫，誠摯邀請您報名參與。

We are very grateful to invite Professor Stephen Y Lai (MD, PhD, FACS [Fellow of the American College of Surgeons]), Professor of Department of Head and Neck Surgery, Division of Surgery, the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center, to give us a speech entitled “Integrated Research and Clinical Approaches to Advance the Treatment of Anaplastic Thyroid Cancer” on May 24, 2023. In Dr. Lai’s speech he will share with us how he and his team developed the Facilitating Anaplastic Thyroid Cancer Specialized Treatment (FAST) program at the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center to improve patient access to clinical care. The FAST program has improved care and survival for patients with anaplastic thyroid cancer as well as improved patient recruitment to clinical trials. Additionally, a research program to characterize disease progression and identify novel therapies has also been developed. You are very welcome to join this event with us.
